Message of Strength

I was honored to receive an advanced reader copy of Dancing with the Flame, a book of poems. As the title implies, the author Jamieson Wolf uses the words to move through what could be dangerous topics to other, less-assured writers. With almost musical tempos in some poems, more staid and cautious tempos in others, Wolf brings words to life the way master poets do. He makes the reader slow the crazed pace of life and soak up a positive story of strength. I was reminded time and again throughout the poems that a person's strength comes from within...but each one of us is allowed to see and accept the help of strength in and from others. It's a lovely, empowering message to find and absorb, and I'm pleased to recommend others grab up this collection of poems to find that message for themselves.

Inspirational poetry

Some people use journals to jot down what they need to say I had always found poetry to be my outlet. I started writing poems at an early age and continue to do so just to express myself, to find that inner peace, to let go. But for a while I got away from it only recently finding my voice once again. When given the chance to review a book of poems I thought it would be an easy task. I however found that this particular group of poems spoke to and from the heart touching my soul.
Poems are hard to pull apart because each person views or reads the poems differently each finding something different that speaks to them alone. The author may have written it one way but when I read it, or you do, we may each find or see something different. Or rather glean something that we need out of the poem or poems.
I really enjoyed each of these poems finding them to be just what I needed to hear or read at this time. Within these poems I found the reinforcement that the strength and confidence starts with me. I may have to dig deep but it is there. The poems showed me that I may find inspiration from others but I have to find my own beat, my own drum, my own dance and my own rhythm will give me the confidence to follow my dream.
Mr. Wolf has truly inspired me in his poems. He writes about life, love, dreams, and confidence just to name a few. So if life has you down or you just have a day that you need uplifted or reminded that you are beautiful even when the world sees you differently read one, two or perhaps three or more of these poems and find the strength to shine and become the person you are meant to be. To become that person that inspires the courage to be different in others showing them that it is okay.
I am looking forward to more from this author as well as looking for other things that he has written. He is a new favorite for me.
