Await the Light shines brightly on every page

Jennifer Wilson writes from the heart of a woman questioning and rejoicing in what she knows, is learning, and contemplates. Her verse is terse and compact, mindful for me of Boris Pasternak's poems at the end of his novel, Dr. Zhivago. Whether Jennifer pairs rhymes or meters, both are always in tune with her theme and with the reader's ear. You simply never stumble over the impact. It is always fresh and new. There are no favorites here as all stand on their own. One memorable work shows the outline of a pregnant woman perfectly, the words and lines conforming to female anatomy as the words conform to shared feelings.
