Happiness Everyday! A little e-book packed with big-time tips

I thought Happiness Everyday would be yet another data dump book weighed down with regurgitated information. To my surprise, I discovered a number of new, excellent ideas that were enlightening, which says a lot since I am a self-proclaimed self-help junkie.

I look at self-help books this way: If you can garner one idea from the book and apply it to your life to make it better, than the book is a winner; Happiness Everyday falls into that winning category at least for me. For example, since reading the book, I am performing a major overhaul on my over-thinking practices, and, I’m HAPPY to report, for the most part, it’s working.

Though the chapters are organized well, I would have liked to have seen a chapter on spirituality. That subject is a dominant one in many studies relating to happiness and well-being. Meanwhile, the writing, though not completely free of some minor grammatical errors, is concise and clear. If I were the book’s editor, I would have advised the author, Ms. Hessner, to include a few additional examples to substantiate some of the points she makes. For instance in the “Get to Know Yourself” section, I’d like a few examples of what things are “funny” and “make you smile” but don’t leave you “ecstatic.”

At the end of Happiness Everyday, readers can click a link and download a Happiness Workbook. I would have liked Ms. Hessner to have expounded on the “hands-on” part of the workbook.

Aesthetically, too, I think the book cover is generic-appearing and could have used more of a thought-out approach. One more suggestion, I would have included Abraham Lincoln’s famous quote with the other introductory quotes: “Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.” His concept sums up the entire book in a nutshell.

What makes this work hit the five-star mark, at least for me, is the author herself. After reading her bio, it sounds like she's been on the polar opposite side of happiness, prevailed and conquered her demons. Now in her role as victor instead of victim, she carries the message and helps others.That thought alone inspires me to break into one big happy dance.

Ms. Hessner packs a lot of information into a short 45-page book, and readers should be happy to know that they will likely get their money’s worth.

Destination: Happiness!!!

There is a tale about a man sitting on a box at the side of the road begging for money. After he passes away and someone opens
the box it turns out that it was filled with Gold all that time.
What if the proverbial box we are sitting on holds all the Happiness we want?

Although Happiness can feel different to different people, we all know when we are in that state and know what we strive for,
or what to reply when asked 'Are you Happy?' - The book demystifies what it takes to be happy and how to get there. For example,
Does excess Wealth translate into perpetual happiness? - After all people experienced happiness 500, 1000, 2000 years ago too,
and the triggers were not expensive high-tech electronic gadgets or a fat bank account.

After I was done reading this eBook one evening, I woke up the following morning realizing that actually I AM Happy!
Which every way I dug into that, it came back to the basic 'I am happy to be alive; Whatever the circumstances. And maybe just
because I am Alive to experience whatever unfolds in my life'.
When you realize that, it strikes you that Happiness is not exclusively the experience we are 'sold' by TV Ads of people dancing
around a brand new car, or stepping out of a fancy store holding more bags in their hands that they can carry.
Those may be pivotal points in your own History of Happiness, alas.. they only last so long.

This book will cleverly walk you through a set of steps to help you reveal to yourself your own path to that desired destination
not solely as a temporary climax of elation and ecstasy - after all how long can humans stand at the top of the Everest? - but also
as an experience you will become attuned to that will get you in touch with a longer-lasting sense of comfort, satisfaction,
recognition of your own achievements, recognizing others' contribution to your happiness as well as yours to them, and so on.

Happiness may elude us because of its very dynamic property which is a result of the interplay between us and ourselves, us and
the environment, us and other people, and as such you need to be on your toes mentally-speaking which the book addresses with
easy to follow, clear and well structured set of 'assignments' and fun-methods to get you there.

Lastly, I should mention that I love reading books about all flavors of our inner lives, and when I was offered to receive this book
in exchange for my unbiased opinion, I like the preview and the premise of the book and accepted the invitation.
I personally enjoyed reading and applying the wisdom this book shares with us and think that you might enjoy and benefit from it just as much.

Amy Hessner has done an Awesome Job in writing this book..
Honestly, this is one of the best books I've read in relation to Happiness..
There are lots of "secrets" to happiness that we can find in this book.
One of my favorite topics is in Chapter 9, Reward Yourself.because sometimes we tend to take it for granted.. But this is really an awesome practice as well in happiness. :)

I also like the way she delivers that really happiness is inside all of us.. We have the "choice" whether we would be happy or not.. That's our choice..

I've learned a lot about benefits of happiness in: Physical Changes, Affective Changes, and Cognitive Changes..

Also one of my favorites, is that when she tells that really there's a connection between "being kind and happiness". Truly an act of kindness can truly increase our level of happiness..

I believe this book would really help a lot of people to become happier in their lives. :).

This is a detailed-well written book about happiness..

I'm so much thankful for the Author Amy Hessner, for this wonderful book.. :)

I would really highly recommend it to everyone who wants to be happy in their daily lives. :)
