Excellent beginner's guide complete with easy instructions and cute/realistic graphics.

Loved the extensive section on the benefits of yoga - I knew it was good but had no idea there so many. This is the perfect beginners yoga book, with actual curvy girl graphics demonstrating each pose and super easy to follow instructions. The chapter on yoga for winter blues and depression was just what I needed!

Great book with very nice illustrations!

Who said that yoga can't be practiced by anyone?
I got this book as a valued subscriber to Carma Books, and it was a perfect fit for my sister who wanted to practice yoga and reduce stress, improve her flexibility and lose some weight in the process.
First of all, It amazed me how well the book is written, but I didn't expect nothing else from Carmen Reeves!
It explains the basic principles of yoga practice - what it is, where it comes from, what are the different types... There are many resources online that talk about this, but none that I found so far were as easy to read and understand as this one!
The book then explains many different Yoga poses (suited for beginners) with detailed instruction on how to perform each, and great illustrations.
I really liked The Camel pose, which I practiced before - it forces you to breathe deep and relieve muscle tension. As a consequence, you might star to laugh, yell or cry uncontrollably. I know, sounds weird, but it's a true and a great feeling!
I may not be a curvy girl, but I like the idea of Yoga as well, and I know about the tremendous benefits that can be found by incorporating Yoga into our daily lives.
