I recognize the value that this wonderful book holds for those who read it

Dr Lane has written a very thoughtful, insightful guidebook for cancer patients and their caretakers. As an oncology nurse, I recognize the value that this wonderful book holds for those who read it. Dr Lane recommends extreme caution in choosing an Oncologist. While I certainly agree with that, I must say that the many physicians I have worked with are much more compassionate and skilled at addressing end of life issues, as well as other difficult subjects, than than those he describes and warns about.

Sensitive and Pragmatic Advice

With a family member recently diagnosed with ALS, and a best friend commencing treatments with advanced Prostate cancer, Dr Lane's book gave sensitive, timely and pragmatic advice which helped me try to grasp all the emotional, strategic, medical and physical adjustments though which those close to me must navigate. Excellent and easy read.
