There is one thing that you should know about what's causing your health issues: 'The problem', whatever it is, always starts out at the spiritual level. The guide to actually BEING your best, and not just “feeling” your best (plus essential information not always found elsewhere)

(FULL DISCLOSURE: I received this book as a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. And yes, I knew I would probably like the book and leave a positive review because I was already familiar with the author’s work from her blog and other books. But if I’d suspected that my honest feelings about the book would end up rating only a star or two, I would've just said, "Oh, I’m so sorry, but I’m already so behind in my reading list, I just can’t fit in another book right now." Or something polite yet evasive like that.)
So here it goes:
First of all, I should NOT have liked this book so much because it is about acupressure and energy meridians, and I was never into that stuff.
I used herbs and homeopathy regularly before I started reading Rivka Levy’s material, but never gave much thought to the other stuff because I basically saw the field of holistic health as a way to great physical health and good feelings, but not deeper than that.
(Think: “Shiny happy people holding hands.”)
Also, I got the impression from holistic health experts that one needs an enormous amount of control over one's life in order to maintain an acceptable level of physical and mental health, i.e. don’t have too many children (or maybe no children at all), make enough money (whatever that means), live in only a stress-free environment, work at only a stress-free job, be able to afford exotic organic veggies and expensive juicers, etc.—but that level of control is not always possible. You can’t always just quit your job or avoid difficult people or live in a stress-free neighborhood or avoid, for example, living in the vicinity of people who think that ISIS is the ideal social system.
Maybe eventually you can, but not right away and not always.
What I Love About This Book:
First of all, it gave me exactly what I needed:
-- Useful guidance on how to deal with your physical or mental health in whatever situation you’re in NOW.
You just need your fingers for the acupressure and your voice (or at least your mind) for the rest.
-- It's also clear, well-organized, and a pleasure to read.
-- Using the acupressure while talking to God has yielded life-changing insights that are transforming who I am at the core level.
-- “Sedating” or “strengthening” various meridians via acupressure released blockages that I hadn’t even been aware of because we all have blind spots. And if you never discover your blind spots, you can never really rectify them.
So this book helps in getting out of denial and seeing the blind spots that may be holding you back from becoming that wonderful person whom you have always had the potential to be.
At the same time, this book also presents simple and quick techniques to handle those times when you just can’t get it together to do the deep, hard work.
Some Real-Life Examples:
-- The techniques described in this book helped me get my baby to sleep more easily, soothed his terrible teething pain, gave me the energy and will to do things I’d been putting off for a year, helped me deal with my kids more calmly and pleasantly, and much more.
-- Some of the immediate effects were that I saw calf muscle pain, large gum sores, ingrown toenail pain, and lower back pain disappear almost immediately.
It doesn’t always work so fast, but it can.
Personal Notes and Tips for Using This Book:
1) Some people pick up the meridian-tracing really fast and some don’t.
I’m among those who don’t.
Yet once you learn it, it takes literally 45 seconds to trace all the meridians. At first, I needed to use the book’s diagrams AND the book’s written instructions AND a video demo I found online to figure it all out. And it took me a long time to remember which tracing went with which meridian. But I've seen how some people pick it up after one or two tries. So even though it was complicated for me at first, I feel the results are very worth it.
(But most people seem to find it very easy and simple to get the hang of.)
2) Sometimes, things get worse before they get better.
The first time I traced the meridians, I developed a stiff neck. (But every time after that, tracing the meridians made me feel better.) If that happens, you just look in the book to see which meridian a stiff neck is associated with (it's the Stomach meridian, BTW) and then sedate it using the indicated acupressure points.
So I would say if you’re doing this for the first time, make sure you set aside a good half-hour just in case you need to deal with any emotional or physical issues that come up.
3) When you achieve pain relief through sedating or strengthening a meridian, or you receive emotional relief because the acupressure suddenly opens you up to an amazing insight into yourself or makes you feel high, it’s important to repeat that same acupressure the next day because the issue may not be resolved as much as you thought—in other words, it can come back the next day and whomp you. So if the problem was major, keep up with the acupressure once a day, even after you get relief.
4) If you’re tracing a baby’s meridians, he or she might spit up if you do it too soon after a feeding. So make sure you do it well after the baby has finished eating.
5) Personally, I get impatient just sitting there and holding the acupressure points even though it is only for 1-3 minutes at a time. (The book also provides techniques that only take a few seconds.) So I found it helpful to either talk to God, make a mental list of things I’m grateful for, sing, or listen to music when I hold the points.

There is so much more to say, but this review is already too long. All in all, it is one of the most powerful, most life-transforming books I have ever read. The results are very worth the minor learning curve (if you’re like me and you’re impatient and don’t pick this stuff up quickly).
If you want to go beyond just “feeling” good and actually discover and fulfill the potential you were given and truly be the best you personally can be, then I really think this book can help you achieve that.

Rivka Levy is an experienced author and holistic health practitioner. In her book ‘Talk to G-d and fix your health’ Rivka explains ‘how to optimise spiritual and emotional health so you don’t end up physically ill’. She identifies the ‘missing link’ so evident in many people’s lives (G-d), firmly puts a close relationship with G-d at the root of all movement forward and details how to help achieve this. Rivka takes us step by step through the fundamental areas that need to be addressed to achieve balance in our lives (healthy compassion, sensible accountability and appropriate kindness) and demonstrates how these and negative emotions and bad influences can impact on our health. The second half of the book then focuses on practical techniques to balance our energy meridians and dissolve emotional blocks, followed by many client case files illustrating specific issues. Talk to G-d and fix your health is written in a very positive, easy to read style that is full of real life examples that we can all identify with and will be of practical use to those who have existing health concerns or those who wish to implement a preventative health strategy.

Rivka's writing is engaging, intelligent and insightful as she focuses on the fundamental points of how to improve your health, beginning with and emphasizing the root cause of all things, God. This book teaches you how to connect to your Source, why it's important and how it affects every area of your life. The book gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation of how emotions influence the body and how having a relationship with and talking to God about what's going on in my life is the beginning of all true healing. The book also includes appendices which cover, with very clear and concise instructions and illustrations, different energy healing techniques as well as several case studies. I found the information contained is this book to be inspiring, practical and empowering on how to work toward being physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy.
I would highly recommend this book it to anyone who wants to take responsibility for their health and is committed to taking practical steps to achieve this.
